Term 2 Week 6

This term we will be continuing our work on the Stonge Age. We will look at how the Stone Age turned into the Bronze Age and then the Iron Age. In Geography we will be learning about Europe. Looking at the countries and capitals in Europe before studying the Alps in greater detail. In science we will be learning about vibrations 

 

 This week (wc 9th December 2019)

English:  We will be looking at the book Coming Home. Looking at the way the weather impacts the mood of the story and have a go at writing our own story settings.

Maths: We will looking at multiplication 

If you head to the ICT GAMES there are lots of different games to support in class learning.

Timetable focus: Throughout the year we will be using timestables Rockstars in class. Please continue this at home. By the end of Year 4 children are expected to know all their timestables.

Topic:  We will be looking at the Alps and how they have developed and changed. 

 

Next week (wc 18th December 2019 Last week of term)

English:  The children will be writing thier own versions of Coming Home as a diary entry.

Maths: We will begin to looking at formal written methods of multiplication

Homework:

Reading: Please read with your child daily. Reading books will be changed weekly.

Spellings: Please practise the weekly spellings using the bingo grid ideas.

Maths: Please practise the key number facts. All children have access to Maths games using Doodlemaths and TTRS.
