Teamwork plays an important part in the operation of our school. Different teams of people have different roles in the school, as follows:
We have a highly qualified, able team of teachers and support staff. The teachers meet weekly to plan, prepare and assess.
They also have a weekly meeting, either a Staff Meeting or a Team Meeting, to discuss learning priorities for the children.

Teaching Assistants take on general learning support roles in all parts of the school. Some are employed specifically to support individual children with statements of Special Educational Needs. We have a very able team of TAs, many of whom take small groups for dedicated consolidation of maths and English skills. TAs receive training and attend regular meetings to discuss common issues. Our Higher Level Teaching Assistants also cover lessons, to release teacher colleagues for a range of leadership, planning and assessment activities.
We have a highly-regarded team of SMSAs, who supervise the children at lunchtimes. They meet regularly to discuss issues and receive training, and have a key role to play in ensuring that the children enjoy their lunch breaks.
